Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Email Ferret ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

Email Ferret is a SaaS application that provides email filtering services for Gmail accounts. The Service:

  • Connects to your Gmail account via OAuth
  • Analyzes incoming emails using heuristic scoring and pattern detection
  • Identifies AI BDR spam and suspicious emails
  • Creates and applies Gmail labels to organize your inbox
  • Optionally archives emails based on your configuration

Important Service Limitation

Email Ferret will never send emails or reply to emails on your behalf. The Service is read-only for email composition and sending purposes. We do not have permission to send, compose, or reply to any emails.

Google API Data Usage

Email Ferret uses Google APIs to access and process your Gmail data. By using our Service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Google API Services

We use the following Google API services:

  • Gmail API: To read email messages, access message metadata (sender, subject, date, headers), and manage Gmail labels
  • Gmail Labels API: To create and manage custom labels for organizing your inbox
  • OAuth2 API: To securely authenticate and authorize access to your Gmail account
  • Userinfo API: To retrieve your Gmail email address for account management

Data We Access

Through Google APIs, we access the following data from your Gmail account:

  • Email messages and their full content
  • Message metadata (sender, recipient, subject, date, headers)
  • Gmail labels and label information
  • Your Gmail email address
  • OAuth tokens (stored securely and encrypted)

How We Use Google API Data

We use Google API data exclusively to provide our email filtering service:

  • Email Analysis: We analyze email content, headers, and metadata to identify AI-generated cold outreach and spam using heuristic scoring algorithms
  • Label Management: We create and apply Gmail labels (such as ".AI-Spam") to help you organize your inbox
  • Email Archiving: If you enable this feature, we may archive emails identified as spam (moves emails from inbox to archive, does not delete them)
  • Account Management: We use your Gmail email address to associate your Gmail account with your Email Ferret account

Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

Email Ferret's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not use Google API data for advertising purposes, sell it to third parties, or use it for any purpose other than providing our email filtering service. All data is processed securely and stored in compliance with industry standards.

Data Security and Storage

All Google API data is processed securely. OAuth tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption before storage. We do not store your Gmail password. You can revoke access to your Gmail account at any time through your Google Account settings or by disconnecting your account in our application.

User Obligations

Account Requirements

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

Gmail Account Requirements

  • You must have a valid Gmail account
  • You must authorize the Service to access your Gmail account via OAuth
  • You are responsible for ensuring your Gmail account complies with Google's Terms of Service
  • You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction while using the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit any viruses, worms, or malicious code
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to spam, harass, or harm others
  • Share your account credentials with others

Service Availability and Modifications

Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

Subscription and Billing

Free Trial

We offer a 7-day free trial for new users. A credit card is required to start the trial. After the trial period ends, you will be charged $5 per mailbox per month. You can cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

Paid Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You agree to pay all fees associated with your subscription. All fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Email Ferret and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to your Gmail data and content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to access and process your Gmail data solely for the purpose of providing the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL EMAIL FERRET, ITS AFFILIATES, AGENTS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars ($100), whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Email Ferret and its affiliates, agents, directors, employees, suppliers, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by disconnecting your Gmail account and deleting your account through the Service settings.

Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, we will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may request data export before termination.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Email Ferret regarding the Service.
